Apart from the annoyance of having missed this S3 UVIR on the PhotoKina (and not having read much about it since), I can't help wondering why Canon continues to neglect these two particular market segments (after once almost leading the pack, with the DCS 3ir, in 1994)....note that Fuji has already launced the second model, the IS- 1 (IR-only): http://www.fujifilmusa.com/JSP/fuji/epartners/PRNewsDetail.jsp?DBID=NE WS_862613 (400-900nm, a specification that isn't clearly mentioned for the S3 btw (neither press-release nor PDF-datasheet....maybe they are afraid of specifying the UV-range, being dependant on the lens- transmission?)) Anyway, maybe such a high-end camera would be worthy to celebrate the 2007 Canon anniversary....:)) Willem (only with a full-size chip of course) Jan -- Bye, Willem-Jan Markerink The desire to understand is sometimes far less intelligent than the inability to understand <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> [note: 'a-one' & 'en-el'!] * **** ******* *********************************************************** * For list instructions, including unsubscribe, see: * http://www.a1.nl/phomepag/markerink/eos_list.htm ***********************************************************
