So far, the split is right down the middle. The cost difference is not big
enough to sway me either way. I think I can handle the weight difference, too,
having got used to the 70-200/2.8 in the bag. The extra reach of 24-105 is nice
for a one-lens walk around kind of shooting, but I do have the 70-200 if I
really need that extra reach. Of course, that becomes a two-lens deal. Some
people mentioned a slight edge in sharpness and bokeh in favor of 24-70/2.8,
how about color, contrast, focusing speed? Is that edge in bokeh because of the
wider aperture?

Thanks,

Francis
