I didn't hear him say it was a "rule" that there should not be any top
postings.  Here is what he said:

"There is no punishment/filtering on reverse-quoting (putting the
reply above the original), only on the inclusion of the admin-footer..."

So, I'm still not sure that this is a "rule" or simply his preference and is
"tolerated" (just like others, like me, "tolerate" bottom-posting).

That's not equivalent IMO.  I can ask someone to take their boots off, but
not tell them how  they *will* communicate with me when they are in my
house.  If they eat everything in my refrigerator without asking, that's a
different story.  Personally, if the rules are so cumbersome, I'd probably
just leave, at the least, not come back.

I don't know who you are referring to here, but I didn't hear anyone
"tell[ing] others how things should work", except one pro-bottom-poster.
What I said is I believe top-posting (and intra-posting) is perfectly
acceptable.  If the issue is clipping/trimming, that I believe that should
be the issue, not where someone replies...as long as they trim/clip.
