Some statements and defensive behavior do not belong on what I had come to believe was a professional list. There is zero points to be gained by anyone continuing this discussion, let it drop and fade away. So yes, I would say - just walk away. I recall the film scanner list, which nearly filled my disk drive with endless diatribe on what "dynamic range" means, having zero relevance to me or helping anyone get better film scans.
