I've spent the last month trying not to borrow money from my bank for a 600mm f/4 IS L, 50mm f/1.2 L, or 85mm f/1.2 II L. And now I've got another thing on my list that looks very tempting. The 10fps would be very nice if I was still shooting cage fights, but the fight promoter shot a rival promoter at the last fight so it is looking like there will be more cage fights. I think 10fps is still useful though. I'd be dropping from 12.7MP to 10MP, but that would probably be almost 4000 pixels on the long side; more than enough to print a decently large print. I'd go from full frame to 1.3, so my 20mm wouldn't be quite as cool anymore. And I'd get the anti-dust technology. I hate dust. I've considered the 400D as an "upgrade" to the 5D several times. I'd like to replace my 580EX as well. I took about 3000 flash pictures in an hour and a half once, and it hasn't been the same since. It smelled like burning that night. I'm shooting jpegs a lot again, so I don't know if the extra bpp is a big deal to me, but when I'm in RAW and trying to make HDRs again I bet it might be.
