Well, I do the opposite, especially when I "only" had the 1GB Lexar CF
cards, I always delete bad frames during the day, and I have NEVER
experienced corrupt cards or lost files in just over 3 years and nearly
90,000 frames in my 1D Mk2.......

And I have always format the cards in camera in the 3 years, NEVER had a
problem either, in fact I don't remember ever formatting the cards on the
computer.
