Thanks Stefan. I found the log file, and one of my errors (a library
not found, which I can correct).
Regarding the client, I am still a little confused.
I am on the server (spock). I first launch the client:
eqPly.64 -m datafile.ply
(must the datafile be an absolute path?)
Then I launch the server. What if the eqPly.64 is on a node in a
different directory then on the server?
I guess a requirement is that it be in the PATH?
Furthermore, just to make sure I understand: the ply file need only
be on the server? sections of this file will be transmitted to the
other nodes as needed?
If the answer to the previous paragraph is "yes", what if we are dealing
with a 1000^3 volume? Should there be a mechanism that leaves part
of the data on each node (perhaps as a preprocessing step done
separately from running Equalizer)?
Sorry for all the questions. Many other people appear to have figured
all this out!!!
By the way, how many people are using Equalizer at this time. Any idea?
