Here is the update Stefan (last message today):
I launch the eqServer.64 on spock. I launch eqPly.64 on
spock (I noticed I had to use absolute path, else it won't start
up on kirk correctly, even if it is in the same location).
The window on my mac opens (note the config file: I am using
a simpler version, less efficient). The mac window opens.
However, the mac window does not stay open (do not know why).
Here is a snippet from the INFO log in the window I start the eqPly
client from on spock:
....

.....
SOMETHING STRANGE ....
Hopefully we'll make some progress tomorrow :-)
I apologize for all the messages, but until it works, it is quite
frustrating.
