Thanks Stefan. Right now, I have it working (without my mac) on
all systems but two. Error message is related to "cannot authenticate
:0.0window. I am sure I can deal with that. Will keep you informed.

Older messages are probably irrelevant now, except for historical
significance :-)

The latest message relating to 14,000,000 point sets is more serious and
interesting, more in line with research.

Cheers,

  Gordon

Here is the update Stefan (last message today):

I launch the eqServer.64 on spock. I launch eqPly.64 on
spock (I noticed I had to use absolute path, else it won't start
up on kirk correctly, even if it is in the same location).
The window on my mac opens (note the config file: I am using
a simpler version, less efficient). The mac window opens.
However, the mac window does not stay open (do not know why).

Gordon,

I should have seen it earlier. :-/

I have never tested using heterogenous environments. It *should* work,
but this was not a priority so far. If you feel like debugging this, I
suggest you launch all clients manually (see resident node doc) in a
debugger before launching the application, and then see where it crashes.

If you send me a stack trace, I'll probably can give you some hints.

I'll read the older messages in a minute.

Cheers,

Stefan.
