Enquiring minds:: My verbal skills at 5:30 in the morning leave a lot to be desired, but the "Permatex like solution" that was supposed to seal the threads is what I was referring to. The quick drain backed out within an hour of flight. This was in 1991, so a whole lot of speculation has gone on since then, but the facts remain. The FAA went to Wag Aero at the time and inspected the part in question, and handed it back to the Distributor without comment. It was not represented in the Wag Aero catalog as a PMA'ed part, so there was apparently no foul. Some of the wounds have healed, but I still walk funny!
