I agree, but as someone pointed out it will always be just out of reach for some planes, but it sure came close. The 415-C is just 28 lbs over and 5 knots over ... SO CLOSE BUT OH SO FAR... We all know it was the overweight ultra lites and kit planes with the 51% homebuilt guys that lobbyed for this cat. more than the can't get my Med. bunch. They want you to buy their planes and not fly a bunch of old good planes. They would like to rule out J-3's and Aeronca's 7AC's and a very few others, but can't or it would have ruled out a lot of their planes.
