----[Please read http://ercoupers.com/disclaimer.htm before following any advice in this forum.]----Scott,
I've flown my Alon between Missouri and Florida 3 times, almost 1000 miles and a 2 hour day. I flew a 415-D from Florida to Arkansas, about the same distance and time. I've had several other trips that were in the 600 mile range. I[m planning on flying my Alon from Florida to Texas for the Nationals this year.
It is pretty easy to fly 6 hours in comfort, maybe 9 hours, depending on the outside temp. It's amazing how much country you can cover in a day if the weather is good and you don't have a strong headwind. If you have a passenger it would be easy to do about 500 miles a day, 3 hrs in the morning and 3 in the late afternoon, and no one would get too frazzled.
The best plan is to be flexible. You never know when you will have weather issues, or just happen upon some location that is interesting and slows down your progress.
