I think that it is easier and you can see more with the wings off and its not that hard to do. After everyone looked to see what they could find, no one found anything but a little dirt, which I cleaned out then corrosion X the whole thing. My IA signed off the annual and made a log book entry noting the center section inspection had been done, I'm good till 2005.
