new directives hammered out between EAA and AOPA and the
FAA. The field approval process was recognized as being 'broken'
by recent 'tightening' and in need of repair. That repair was supposed
to have been accomplished.
Either the AOPA or the EAA (I forget which) have been asked
to be notified about intransigent inspectors. I'd call the AOPA
hotline and let them know of your difficulty. I'd also contact the
EAA. I'd also escalate the matter to the regional engineer at the
FAA.

a. Has anyone out there had a 337 for clevelands on early model coupes done in the last 9 months?
b. has anyone else had this problem.
c. Is there *anyone* we can appeal to to get the FAA to lighten up? How on earth are we going to keep our old planes flying if they won't allow us to make needed safety enhancements to our planes.
I'm so angry I could spit.
