Hi Tom: A couple of questions.
Did you have an approved 337 to submit as acceptable data? Did you submit the 337 asking for an approval for an existing modification, or did you submit it as if it hadn't been modified yet? I understand that asking for approval after the modification has been carried out enrages the FSDO. Is your I.A. working through Jim Irwin? In the past he has seemed reasonable. I have a couple of 337's pending myself, now I'm wondering if I dare call him to follow up. :-( If the Seattle FSDO is a dead end, I'd call John Wright Jr. and see if he could run it through his FSDO. He has run a lot of Ercoupe 337s through and they know him very well. You can have a 337 approved at any FSDO. Good luck Paul NC2273H Spanaway S44
