In my old age I'm tending to get curious about things. Like:: Look at all the wind tunnel research that has gone into air turbulence over a smooth surface, with "tufting," utilization of interference devices to disturb the airfoil at specific places, stability, control, and airfoil analysis. Then we look at the "golf ball!" it is a proven fact that the "dimples" control the speed, path, and aerodynamics of the ball. Who thought of this? Over 100 years ago somebody figured out that you could make a golf ball go farther with less dynamic input if it had "dimples?" Boggles the mind.
