What is the best way to tell what type the nose gear is? On mine the forks are the type shown in the parts catalog as the ones for the Electrol. The catalog shows the steel type for my serial number. When was the Electrol used? There is no serial number range in my catalog for them. The reason I was looking at it is that I had hydraulic fluid in the engine compartment and it appeared to be coming out of the top of the strut. I removed the plug expecting to pull out the fluid gauge but it is just a plug. The plug has a hole drilled in the top. I suspected the fluid was coming out of the hole. I would not expect to have a plug there with a hole in it. Also, I have a dual fork.
