When the prop is pulled, be sure to inspect the flange for cracks. After reading the story about the tapershaft flange that failed in flight (bye bye prop) causing an off-field landing, I took a peek at mine and was alarmed at what I found. The tapershaft flange had a crack that spanned 120 degrees around the circumference. I'll send pictures to any that are interested. I am pleased to have the flanged crankshaft now.
