Greg, Thanks, that is not what I have. I guess I have an original type after all. It has been awhile since I had my other Ercoupe and it seemed different plus it had a tag on it that made me think it was a replacement. I meant to write it down but forgot. Maybe it has a Gerdes tag on it. The price on the Matco seams OK. I would be tempted at that price to just change it if Skyport still has them and the STC paperwork. John, Do you have these? Does the STC say to leave in the firewall reservoir? That's not the one. Yes, the old original looks much like one with a built-in reservoir. However the replacement looks very different. See http://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/lgpages/matco_mbrakecyl.php and look at the MC4. However, the part I received didn't have an external 'helper' spring, but neither did the ACS part a few catalogs ago. >I am able to pump up from the bottom OK until it hits the master cylinder. >It was >pumping up after I monkeyed with it but I think it is starting to drag >again.
