Does anyone know why they put the heat through the
firewall so it comes out under the floor?

I remember when we put them in. it was in about 1948. at the time we had the snap vents and they were not too effective and the added noise . (we never used headsets or earplugs back than. thats why old pilots are hard of hearng) we removed the snap vents and pluged them .of course since than have replaced the windshield. Believe me you need two cool air vents At this time there were three coupes at our airport and we all put them in. All through the years the heater was not two effective. now after 59 yrs. I found the heat was only going under the floor boards. I now cut a hole in the floorboards in the center behind the yoke column and now we have good heat--better late than never.Jim Phelps N2747H============================================================================== To leave this forum go to: http://ercoupers.com/lists.htm Search the archives on http://escribe.com/aviation/coupers-tech/
