You mean to say that it is possible to have a really accurate Tachometer,,,,,,geeeee, I have never seen one like that.

In my experience these old time tach indicators can
be quit inaccurate. Before changing any prop pitch or
making any other changes get a second opinion with
some sort of electronic tach, strobe or other RPM
measuring device.
