Presumably, Wayne just forgot to mention that it is virtually impossible to apply the cling sunshade without removing the ALON canopy (no easy task !), and turning it upside down? At least that was my experience. I use a small mesh see-thru black screen sold at auto parts stores. These things sell @ two for $5, have spring edges, and easily fold up for storage to the size of a coffee cup saucer. They have a suction cup in the center for easy attachment and detachment. Don't forget to pop it off prior to opening your canopy after landing. I did - guess that's why them come in packages of two.

Tom,

I put static cling sunshade on the inside of my Alon's canopy.  It works great.  I used the Axius brand "Limo Dark" which is very dark and blocks out almost all of the heat from the sun.  Makes a huge difference.  It's supposed to block something like 98% of the UV.  Only costs about $10.00 for a roll big enough to do an Alon canopy twice.  I used the left overs to make rectangular pieces that I slap in place to block the sun as required.  If you take your time and do a careful job, you can install it with no bubbles.  The Limo Dark is very dark.  Not easy to see through.  They also make lighter shades.
