----[Please read http://ercoupers.com/disclaimer.htm before following any advice in this forum.]----While cleaning the return line, I discovered a leak in the header tank. This could have been going on for a while because the felt between the tank and the metal strap was working as a wick and the leak is very very slow. The smell of gas became noticeable since I used mogas recently. I believe someone else just had this problem and asked this question, but of course I don't remember the answer. Can the header tank be removed without removing the control column? I sure hope so. I don't know if my wallet is up to this!
Just read Marty Duke's success with "Pro Seal". I didn't realize it could be this simple.
