The TECH and FLYIN lists are not
affiliated with the Ercoupe Owners Club. They are sponsored by an individual,
Tom also hosts the EOC website http://ercoupe.org
at no cost to the EOC except for their ownership of the domain.
When the lists and website were created,
Tom was an active Coupe owner. Since then, he’s sold his Coupe and is
continuing to host us just because he’s a really nice guy. That’s
especially so when power surges fried his router a couple of times in the last
year. But he got us up again. (Thanks, Tom.)
Indeed, a lot of list members are not
members of the EOC though I’d strongly encourage any current or
prospective Coupe owner to join the EOC.
I’d agree that it’d be very
nice if the EOC could find a way to host a parts registry website, perhaps a
WIKI type website editable by anyone. But the EOC has only two staff people,
Skip and Caroline, and neither is a computer programmer or computer whiz.
