I have found that checklists are a personal thing.
Some people I've seen use this:
0 Is it an airplane? (Ercoupe?)
0 Does it have any fuel? (this one shouldn't be skipped.)
0 Get in and fly!
Others do almost an annual inspection each time they get near the aircraft.
Personally, I am between the two. I don't use a written checklist each time
for pre-flight. I check over the plane to see if there is any reason it
wouldn't fly. I check the fuel for quantity and quality, check the oil and
visually check the rest of the plane for anything that doesn't look right.
