Thanks for the responses. The engine was overhauled at Central Cylinder in Omaha, and has new ECI cylinders. In fact, the only original parts of the main engine are the case and cam. Of course, all the peripheral stuff is the same, and I think the dipstick is the same. Just for fun, I'm going to order a new dipstick for it...

Ever since i bought my Ercoupe when I fly a slight trail of oil appears on the left side of the lower cowl (on the outside). Even after the engine was rebuilt it still does it. I'm having my mechanic look at it. Any ideas of where this could be coming from, particularly since the engine did it before and after a major overhaul?
