Randy, Try making your power adjustments a little more gently. It is not unusual for a coupe to stumble slightly around 1500 rpm when the throttle is opened to quickly. Usually this is attributed to the lack of an accelerator pump. Being aware of this and allowing the engine a little more time to transition from idle to higher power often solves the problem a no cost to the pilot. If this works for you, a little experimenting will lead you to the best way to get to full power on takeoff.
