One of the local Region 7 Ercoupers (who is not on the tech list) sent me
this email and I'm not competent to provide much information to him since
I've no experience with the rudder pedal installation (my Coupe has no
rudder pedals and no hand brake).

If one or more of you can provide the information he is requesting, it would
be much appreciated.  Anyway, here's the request;

  We are installing rudder pedals in our Ercoupe. The brake pedal has to be
removed to make room for the pedals. My question is: Is the hand brake
strong enough
for maneuvering in close quarters? How have other owners who have fitted
rudder pedals coped with the braking problem? Do you know of any way to
install toe brakes on the rudder pedals? Thanks

PS - Frank Nelson has been made aware and will likely provide whatever
insights he can however; we'll take all the 'brains we can borrow' from
those of you who can answer Herb's questions.

Thanks in advance !
