Hey Dan: You can pass this along for whatever it is worth. The one Ercoupe that I have removed the rudder pedals from had a hand brake mounted just in front of the Front Spar. (It was centered and operated the main brakes through a master cylinder attached to an arm about 10 inches long. <<< SNIP >>> We are installing rudder pedals in our Ercoupe. The brake pedal has to be removed to make room for the pedals. My question is: Is the hand brake strong enough for maneuvering in close quarters? How have other owners who have fitted rudder pedals coped with the braking problem? Do you know of any way to install toe brakes on the rudder pedals?
