A different note.
 
A turn and bank indicator, or turn coordinator is un-necessary and it is
HEAVY.  In a 'Coupe, a few pounds is serious stuff.  We do not need the
extra load.
 
THE TROUBLE IS,  I LIKE having a turn coordinator...at least sometimes.
 
THE SOLUTION for me is a Garmin 196 gps.  It has a full panel that
includes a turn rate indicator.  (Is that cool or what?)  They are
getting pretty low priced on the second hand market, now.
 
For a slip indicator, I have a $10 ball in tube screwed to the panel.
