Bob, What engine do you have?? And was the electric fuel pump added to take the
place of the mechanical pump?? If you had an O-200 installed, most of them did
not have mechanical pumps, I am not aware of any coupes authorized to fly with
only an electric pump except the 30 gallon tanks which did not use the center
tank,. I would appreciate your input on this for my info

Bob,
I don't have the diagram you want, but do suggest that you close the fuel
valve from the header tank to the carbureator and that will tell if the fuel is
returning through the fuel pump. If it is, the fuel pump has a problem. The
valves in the fuel pump are not sealing.

Does anyone out there have a good copy of the Alon A2 fuel system piping
layout that is a little more understandable then the one in the owners manual,
It is a little confusing and unclear exactly where some of the lines go. My
problem is that all the fuel in the header tank is draining back into the
wingtanks over an extended period of time. The plane has an electric fuel
pump rather then an engine driven pump. It looks like the only route the fuel
could follow to drain the header tank is back through the pump. Is there a
check valve anywhere in the system to prevent fuel back flow to the wing tanks.
There is no standpipe in the header tank. The return line is "T" ed off the
back of the header tank. Any input would be appreciate
