I was speaking about the valve behind the panel that is connected between the 
fuselage tank and carburetor.  Closing the valves to the wing tanks won't be 
too informative.

Lee, Did you mean to say to close the valve between the wing tanks and the fuel 
pump? The valve between the carb and the header tank has nothing to do with the 
fuel flow between the wing tanks and the pump, nor between the pump and the 
header tank. Am I missing something here?  Best Regards,
