Richard. I was using both, preferred Avgas 80 when it was still available, but also 100LL and Mogas.
As long as Mogas is alcohol free it worked as good as the Avgas. Basically I can not report a differnt behavior with any of these types. They all performed the same with my engine. One has to have in mind that our continentals are low compression engines compared to later fuel injected aircraft or car engines. With that of a low compression, one can fly on almost anything, as long as it ignites.
