Call your local alternator-Starter repair place. The starter is 1930-40s
tractor technology and most shops can repair it "under your close supervision
as the owner" to keep the FAA happy.

My pull starter seems a little tired and I am thinking about replacing it with
a Skyteck or B&C. I suppose the other option is finding a rebuilt pull starter.
Does any outfit do that? Anyway, any advice about pros and cons would be
appreciated. Thanks.
