Interesting discussion.

 

Can anyone develop (or find off-the-shelf) a smooth, bullet-shaped fairing
made of Plexiglas, polycarbonate or similar material that could be attached
over the landing gear light, thereby making it very aerodynamic?

 

Bet there'd be a market for such an STCed product.
