The original question from ebengiat1 was for the attitude indicator, not for an autopilot.
I do agree that TruTrak attitude indicators are only meant for experimental aircraft, however that's exactly what the field approval is for. If your FSDO approves a field approval, you can install it. I know at least one Ercoupe owner that has it installed. Perhaps that person would like to share how he got it in. Perhaps not! : - ) Eliacim > > From the TRUTRAC website: > > Q - Is the autopilot available for certified aircraft?A - TruTrak > autopilots are strictly for experimental aircraft and LSAs. > > Bill > > > > To: [EMAIL PROTECTED]: [EMAIL PROTECTED]: > [EMAIL PROTECTED]: Fri, 9 May 2008 08:25:21 -0500Subject: Re: > [ercoupe-tech] Re:Trutrak ADI Attitude indicator installation > > > > > The general, safe and undisputable answer to that question is YES , > youcan, if you get a field approval from your local FSDO.
