I must be very confused. What is the issue? I thought field approvals from the FSDO is only required when you need a waiver from some FAA regulation. Since there is no regulation governing the installation of this type of equipment, I don't believe that a field approval is required. I am sounding like an expert when obviously I am not. Can someone help me understanding what I am missing? (See "Installing Non- TSO'd Equipment in the Ercoupe" thread.)
