In addition, if using the delrin needle a weight must be soldered to the float, just FYI. http://www.bowersflybaby.com/tech/stromberg%20needles1.pdf Bill

Partof the problem is it tends to swell in the presence of some common (today)fuel additives, especially in auto gas. Second, there are a lot of needlesin the field of questionable heritage and they are even more likely to causetrouble. Both your loss of power and your leakage could be caused by a swollen needletip. A "good" neoprene needle is the least likely to leak, so, given yourswas leaking, I'd get rid of it post haste.I personally prefer the Delrin needle over the steel one. While the Delrinneedle uses the same seat as the neoprene needle, I recommend a new seat atthe same time for the best results. The steel needle requires a differentseat, so you must replace both if this is your choice. The most current versions of the Stromberg articles Hartmut referred to canbe found in the forum section of www.cessna120-140.orgJohn CooperSkyport Services4996 Delaware TnpkRensselaerville, NY 12147518 797-3064www.skyportservices.net _________________________________________________________________ Earn cashback on your purchases with Live Search - the search that pays you back! http://search.live.com/cashback/?&pkw=form=MIJAAF/publ=HMTGL/crea=earncashback
