Though it won't be a help for his immediate problem, I use TCP on every fillup too.

With my 85HP and the 100LL I always have to lean it on the ground. Didn't do it once and at 1800 RPM on runup it was rough on the mag. I leaned her way out, run it up to full RPM for a minute or so and it cleared the fouled plugs right up. No problems since then.
