Ed B has a complete discussion on his web page and I also have the page 
from the cessna 140 groupe about the mixture control.  All of you who 
are having problems with fouled plugs and other run up problems NEED TO 
READ THOSE PAGES.  I could not get out of this strip very easy with out 
leaning on take off most days in the warm months and even in the winter 
I can see an increase in the RPM.  Do yourself a favor and get the 
thing hooked up and learn to use it.  Regards.
