My observation is that John's knowledge of Coupe mechanics is in the top three in the nation. On dealing with John, I'd advise that he is worth knowing and trusting. Ed Ed Burkhead I must concur with Ed on all counts! John's help on the Ercoupe that we flew to Lithuania (It's still there.) was immeasureable. There is a certain amount of "Wash" built into an Ercoupe wing that has to be taken into account in repairs. Think twice before you start screwing around with spars, it aint for the Amature. There are quite a few used wings around in the $1,000 vicinity, which will be cheaper than having a mechanic do the repair job for sure.
