Also, once you change it to a "D" you can no longer change it back to a "C" for purposes of LSA compliance. The change back itself is a violation of the LSA definition in FAR 1.

I can have a log book entry made changing it to a D then use your O-200 STC, and the next day make a log book entry changing it back to a C. I end up with an O-200 in a C and nobody wiser. But, I guess I can't do that. If I call it a C, the O-200 STC is not valid and the engine is illegal. We need to learn something every day. Richard NC99904
