Another option that might be considered is buying a used homebuilt that fits the LSA requirements.? In the United States, the owner of a homebuilt (that was built by someone else) is allowed to do all maintenance with the exception of the annual condition inspection which requires a minimum of an A&P rating.? If still available, the original builder can also do this inspection provided that they applied for and received a repairman's certificate.? Hope to see some of you at OSH next week.
