Similarly, if one plane was converted to be a D then later change back to the C configuration and relicensed that way, then it would also be identical to all the 415-CD models yet not be legal to be flown by a Sport Pilot. It's the penalty of having a very firm "rule of law" which makes no provisions for reasonable exceptions. Ed
