I should rephrase my comment. I bought the plexiglass from Skyport and the tint
at Wal Mart.

But it works very well.

I made the mistake of not wetting the panel down as it was already in the plane
so my wife and I sat in the small cockpit, looking overhead, and tried to put
the tint on. Glad no one was around to hear the " comments". Had I suggested we
wet the overhead I am sure I would now be 6 feet under. We initially did it
just to see how it worked and looked. Now that we are very happy with it, our
plan is to take the overhead panel out and do it correctly.

Only problem I have is being 6"2 and usually when I get out of the plane with
no overhead, I can place both arms on either side of the plane and raise myself
straight up. No so with the center section. But by moving it to one side, one
gets out and then we just slide the panel to the other side for the other
person to get out. Once you get used to it the convenience of having an
overhead tint is well worth the extra wiggling.

I am 6'2 also and weigh 230. Have a Lightweight headset and there is plenty
of clearance. I bought the plastic from Skyport and had a metal frame. It fits
in the overhead and slides on the same track as the main windows. Is a 3rd of
window.

Not sure where you can buy the frames. Maybe Skyport sells the entire unit.

Thanks for the info. One question, is it the side window your pulling
over ,or is there another one I need to get. Sounds cool either way. I'm 6'2"
so I hope I fit under it.
