Nick,

Yeah, I should have thought to mention that. I bought my bird from a really
short guy. Accordingly, the seat cushions were so thick that I could not
wear some headsets.

But, when I replaced th seat cushions with standard ones, I had plenty of
headroom.

I am about 6 ft.

Nick asked:

is it the side window your pulling over ,or is there another

one I need to get. . . . I'm 6'2" so I hope I fit under it.

Nick,

Normally, the side window plastic is cut long enough to go from top center
to just below the window sill. Some people with a center sun shield
(basically a baby window with left and right end pieces) may have their side
windows cut shorter. It's not all that big a deal to get new Plexiglas from
the local plastics shop, get it cut to the specified size and rivet it to
the end pieces - any good A&P should have no trouble.

If you're too tall for having the window closed over you, consider removing
some stuffing from the seat cushion. Fred Weick was taller than you, I seem
to remember.

Some seat cushion replacements are much thicker than the factory cushions.
