Some states (including Kansas) will not let you trailer a load that extends x feet beyond the taillites (3' in Kansas).
The red flag might keep you legal in daylight (if not raining, for Ks).

And, I guarantee that all attention on the road would be fixated on the vehicle pulling the airplane. You can’t get a more attentive audience than that.



I’d be very surprised if you had any actual trouble.



I’m not sure how I’d attach the red flags often required on dangling loads.
