A method I have used with other aircraft is to put the tail lights on
the rear of the airplane. I extend the "elevator lock" boards a couple
of inches and mount the lights to those. This method necessitates
running 3 wires to each light: tail, brake, and ground, but it has
worked for me several times across several states with no tickets, so
far. Another thing I have done is to mount a small amber strobe on the
same boards and powering it form the tail light circuit.

Subject: [ercoupe-tech] Ercoupe trailer

Coupesters

In the latest issue of Coupe Capers is a design for a Coupe trailer.
The problem I see with this design is the tail of the Coupe extends at
least 8 feet beyond the end of the trailer...sticking out in traffic.
It the brake lights were mounted on the trailer, they would be hardly
visible to traffic behind the rig. Does anyone have a good trailer
design? I was thinking of a flatbed, like a snowmobile trailer. I
would install uprights in the corners to suspend the wings. Any
thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks

Glen
