There are 2 STC's. The gross weight STC is specifically worded to allow
the split elevator, but does not authorize installation of the split
elevator. It is presumed that the split elevator is legally installed
under a separate authorization. There is another STC, the price of
which I am not sure, but it may also be $200, that allows installation
of the split elevator on any C, CD or D regardless of whether or not the
previously mentioned gross weight increase is applied.
