When we did the 1320 lb STC to my airplane (a CD), we noticed that the control 
wheel shaft had been drilled in two places at the factory.  One evidently was 
for the C and the other for the D.  We had to drill a third hole, between the 
two existing holes, to limit the elevator up travel for the required elevator 
displacement called for in the1320 STC.  I think some people, in accomplishing 
the 1320 STC,  used the pre-drilled hole for the D which further limited the 
elevtor up travel and made the airplane handle during landings like a D, as in 
Dog.
Pulled the wings a couple of weeks ago for recover and was pleased to find the 
ribs and spars were corrosion free and looked like they had just been assembled 
at the factory.  Since I am in Florida, we zinc chromated everything, or 
whatever the new stuff is called, prior to recovering just to further ensure no 
corrosion.
And so, Sun-N-Fun is drawing nigh and I sit wingless.  Grrrrrrr.
